Alfonso VII, King of Castilla, son of Raymond of Burgundy and Urraca, Queen of Castile, was born at Galicia, Spain, 1 March 1105.1,2 He died at Fresneda, Spain, 21 August 1157,1 and was buried at Toledo, Spain.2

Alfonso married (1) Berenguela of Barcelona, daughter of Raymond III Berenguer and Dulce, at Saldaña, Spain, November 1128;1,2 he married (2) Richilde of Poland, daughter of Vladislas II and Agnes de Babenberg, in 1152.1,3
