William VIII, seigneur de Montpellier, son of William VII and Matilda, was born about 1158.1 He died at Rome, Italy, in 1218,1, and was buried at St Peter's.1

William married Eudoxia, daughter of Alexius Comnenus and Maria Dukas, about 1178/79;1 they divorced in 1187.1
