Reverend Joseph Hull, son of Thomas Hull and Joane Pysing, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Crewkerne, Somerset, England, 24 April 1596.1,2,3 He died at Isles of Shoals, New Hampshire, 19 November 1665.2,3

Joseph married an unknown first wife at Colyton, Devon, England, about 1619;1,2,4 he married (2) Agnes (…) at England, about 1634. The ancestry of both wives is unknown (or not traced here).2,4

He served as curate in the parish of Broadway in Crewkerne Deanery, 1633-1634. In 1635 he led a number of families from that parish in migrating to America.5
