John Wilder, son of Thomas Wilder and Anna Eames, was born at Charlestown, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, about 1646.1 He died at Lancaster, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, about 1718.2

John married Hannah Atherton, daughter of James Atherton and Hannah (…), at Lancaster 17 July 1672.3,4

John Wilder was a farmer of Lancaster, but at the outbreak of King Phillips war, he fled with his family to Charlestown. They soon returned to Lancaster where he had holdings at South Lancaster, then known as Six Nations and now as Clinton.5
