George married (1) Elizabeth Gibson, whose ancestry is also unknown (or not traced here). His second wife is unknown.2

He was of Little Peckham, Kent, and of Radley, Berkshire and one of the Clerks of the Board of Green Cloth to Queen Elizabeth.3

George Stonehouse left a will of unknown date, but proved in 1573. In it, he described himself as a merchant of the Staple and Clerk of the Green Cloth of the Queens Household of Bersted, Kent, and named Edward, Thomas, William, Nicholas, James, Suzan, and [---] Thompson.1
