Elizabeth Matteson, daughter of Thomas Matteson and Martha Shippee, was born at East Greenwich, Kent Co., Rhode Island, 9 October 1700.1,2,3

Elizabeth married Henry Joslin, son of Thomas Joslin and Mary (…), at East Greenwich 22 January 1718.4,3

Wessler appears to have relied on Arnold (VR of Rhode Island) in saying Elizabeth (Matteson) Joslin married (2) John Case in 1750. Arnold indicated Elizabeth Joslin was a widow. However, the will of Elizabeth Case in 1788 identifies five Case children, and no Joslin children. Elizabeth Matteson was far too old to have had any Case children, and most likely, it was the daughter Elizabeth who married John Case, and was the testatrix of 1788. Maybe.5,6,7
