Robert III de Vitré, seigneur of Vitré, son of Robert II de Vitré, seigneur of Vitré and Emma de la Guerche, was born about 1120.1 He died in 1173,1 and was buried at Savigny Abbey, France.1

Robert married, as her 2nd husband, Emma de Dinan, daughter of Alan de Dinan, Chev. and Agnorie of Brittany, before 1 April 1161.2,1
