John Pomeroy, son of Deacon Medad Pomeroy and Experience Woodward, was born at Northampton, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts, 24 August 1662.1 He died at Northampton, 25 June 1686.1

John married Mindwell Sheldon, daughter of Isaac Sheldon and Mary Woodford, at Northampton 30 April 1684.1,2

John Pomeroy's life was cut short at age 24, but the cause is not known. His son John was born postumously, but evidently he also died young as he was not named in his grandfather's will.3
