Joyce (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), died after September 1683.1

Joyce married (1) Ralph Wallen, before 1623;2,1,3 she married (2) Thomas Lumbard, after 1644/45. The ancestry of both men is unknown (or not traced here).4,1

After Ralph died, Joyce is shown owing £1 5s. to John Atwood in the inventory of his estate taken 27 Feb 1643/4. On 3 Mar 1644/5, "Joyce Wallen, Widdow" exchanged one acre of meadow land at Hobbs Hole with Gyles Rickett (Rickard) Sr. so she could "winter her a cowe so long as shee liveth in Plymouth or elswhere." This is the last mention of Joyce by the name of Wallen in the Plymouth records.

On 8 Feb 1664/5 she verified Thomas Lumbard's estate inventory of £210 8s. 6d. "Widdow Joyce Lumbert" was living in Barnstable in Sep 1683, but is not found after that.1
