Daniel married (1) Margaret Metcalf, daughter of William Metcalf and Anna Marwood, at Northallerton, Yorkshire, England, 22 August 1672;1,2,4 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Mary Lascelles, daughter of Edward Lascelles, Esq. and Mary (…), at Church of St. Christopher-le-Stocks, London, England, 23 April 1702.1,2

He was justice of the peace, high sheriff of Yorkshire in 1719, and member of parliament for North Allerton.4
