Benjamin Hewitt, son of Thomas Hewitt and Hannah Palmer, was born at Stonington, Connecticut, 1662.1 He died at Stonington, 26 April 1725.1

Benjamin married Marie Fanning, daughter of Edmund Fanning, at Stonington 24 September 1683.1,2

19 December 1724, Benjamin Hewitt for love and affection gave to his son Joseph Hewitt of Stonington the south end of the "farm I now Dwell on" except for two small orchards he kept for himself and his wife.3
