Sir William Marshal, Knt., Lord Marshal, son of Sir John Marshal, Knt. and Hawise de Say, was born at Denham, Suffolk, England, 24 September 1277.1 He was killed at the Battle of Bannockburn, Scotland, 24 June 1314.1

William married Christian de Burgh, daughter of Sir Robert Fitz Walter, Knt., 1st Lord Fitz Walter and Devorguille de Burgh.1
