William Allamby was born about 16061and is perhaps the William Allamby baptised at Skelton, Cumberland, England, 8 February 1606/7, son of Hugh Allamby and Jane Pearson.2 He died at St. Thomas' Parish, Barbados, 4 October 1678,1 and was buried at St. Thomas' Parish, Barbados, where his monument is inscribed:
Here lyeth interred the body of
Mr William Allamby aged about
72 years who departed this life
upon the 4th day of October 1678.3,1

William married Eleanor (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here).4

Further research is neccessary to confirm his identity as William Allamby , son of Hugh Allamby and Jane Pearson.

William left a will dated 27 September 1678, and proved 25 October, requesting burial at St Thomas Parish church and naming or mentioning:
wife Eleanour
sons Thomas, John, & William (executor & heir)
daughter Eleanor Chadderton and the eldest of her children (not named)
witnesses: Henry (x) Favell, George (x) Blake, John Chaderton. The court also named Clarke George.4
