Abraham Butts, son of Moses Butts and Alice Lake, was born at Little Compton, Newport Co., Rhode Island, 23 November 1704.1,2 He died say 1775.2

Abraham married Mary Lake, daughter of Joseph Lake and Penelope Case, at Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, 9 June 1735.3

The children listed here may or may not be children of Abraham and Mary. I place them here as they are all married in Dartmouth in the span of 14 years (1759-1773) beginning 24 years after Abraham and Mary were married. All of the Butts principals in these marriages were of Dartmouth and there doesn't appear to be any other Butts of Abraham's generation in the area. Dates of birth are estimated using the assumptions of The Great Migration Study Project: women were usually 20 or under and men 25 or under when first married. Some adjustments were made as the sequence became biologically untenable in the early 1740's. Other interpretations are most certainly possible.4
