Isaac Butts, son of Abraham Butts and Mary Lake, was born say 1736.1 He died at Palmyra, Ontario Co., New York, in or before February 1817, when his will was proved.2

Isaac married Wait Cain, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Dartmouth, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, 6 December 1759.1

In 1790, his household was probably the one enumerated at Freetown, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, with 1 free white male over 16, 1 under 16, and 1 free white female.3
