Merriam married (1), as his 2nd wife, Isaiah Hunt, son of William Hunt and Sarah Mills, at Guilford Co., North Carolina, about 12 June 1816, when the marriage bond was issued;2,3,4 she married (2) John Clayton, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Guilford Co., 11 December 1823.1
