John Sherman, son of Henry Sherman and Susan Lawrence, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Dedham, Essex, England, 17 August 1585.1 He died before 24 January 1615/16,2 when he was buried at Great Horksesley, Essex, England.2

John married Grace Ravens, daughter of Richard Ravens and Elizabeth Hedge, at Wattisfield, Suffolk, England, 26 September 1611.2
