John Bowater, son of William Boeter and Mary Byrt, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England, 25 April 1630.1 He died 16 January 1704/5,1 and was buried at Friend's Burying Ground, White Chapel, Middlesex, England, 20 January 1704/5.1

John married (1) Ann (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), say 1651;1 he married (2) Mary Maunder, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Quaker Meeting House, Wheeler Street, London, England, 12 November 1685.1
