Osbert Giffard, son of Elias Giffard and Maud de Berkeley, died about 1237.1

Osbert married Isabel de Bokland, daughter of Sir Alan de Bokland, Knt. and Alice Murdac.2

Elias Giffard, brother of Osbert, granted to him lands in the manor of Winterburn, co. Dorset, on 11 May 1229, and Osbert received from the King a grant from the forest at Selewood on 10 June 1232.

Later, Isabel recovered custody of lands in Gillingham, co. Dorset, that had belonged to her deceased husband. By 8 July 1242, Isabel had died when her mother, Alice Mrdac, was named next of kin to Osbert's heir, then not of age.3
