Abraham Cook, son of Epaphras Cook and Sarah / Rebekah Smith, was born 17 February 1782.1,2,3,4 He died 11 March 1825, at age 43,1,2,3,5,4 and was buried at Northfield Baptist Cemetery, Livingston, Essex Co., New Jersey.6

Abraham married Elizabeth Baldwin, daughter of Samuel Baldwin and Lucy Fairchild.4,7,8

Abraham Cook died intestate, and [wife] Betsey having renounced her right to administer Abraham's estate, 5 Apr 1825, Peter Cook, [Abraham's brother] was appointed administrator, 5 April 1825.

The total value of the estate was $1596.01½

Betsey petitioned for her dower, which was granted 11 Jan 1831. The petition named "all the persons interested in the estate of Abraham Cook late of the township of Livingston in the county of Essex deceased:"

The same day, Ashbel and Amzi petitioned for a division of the real estate as the five children could not come to agreement as to the division.9
