Without knowing the first names of either partner, which was the bride or groom cannot be determined from the information we have. Of possible interest, Edmund Burroughs Cook (b. Hopewell Twp, Mercer Co., New Jersey in 1831) was the son of Samuel Cook and Kezia Smith. Was Samuel a product of a male Cook – female Burroughs marriage?1,2
