Samuel Mount, whose parents are unknown, was born about 1724.1 He died 7 August 1801,1 and was buried at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Hightstown, Mercer Co., New Jersey.1

Samuel married Frances Cook, daughter of Abiel Cook, about 20 June 1755.2,3,4,1

Samuel left a will dated 30 May 1801, and proved 7 September 1801:
of Upper Freehold Twp., Monmouth Co;
Wife, Frances, household furniture, during her life;
Son, Michael, personal estate, after wife's decease;
Executor—son, Michael;
Witnesses—Benjamin Vanschoik, Joseph Mariel, Peter Barclay.

The Inventory was taken by John Dey and Benjamin Van Schoik, 2 September 1801 and totaled $1,827.70.5
