Silas Cook, son of Theophilus Cook and Phebe Hedges, was born 7 March 1783.1,2 He died 13 October 1842, at age 59,2,3 and was buried at the Mecox Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York.1

Silas married (1) Mary (…), whose parents are unknown;2 he married (2) Elizabeth Cooper, daughter of Ananias Cooper, between 1811 and 1834.4,5
