Gershom Smith, son of Gershom Smith and Hannah Burtis, was born about 1763.1 He died 18 March 1816.1

Gershom married Elizabeth Smith, daughter of William Smith and Catharine Smith.1

Gershom left a will dated 15 March 1816, and proved 27 May 1816 mentioning:
his wife, not named,
his two sons, Obadiah and Tredwell,
his two younger sons, Gershom and William, both under sixteen,
and his daughter Hannah.
He referred to the sloop Suffolk, of which he was half owner, and to a farm bought a short time before, which had belonged to William Blydenburgh.2
