Israel Ward, whose parents are unknown, died after 22 December 1808 when he proved his father-in-law's will.1

Israel married Sarah Cook, daughter of Ellis Cook and Sarah Wortman, before 1801.1

He is perhaps the revolutionary war pensioner of Ohio. If so, he was born at Chatham, Morris Co., New Jersey, 4 May 1763, said to be the son of Joseph Ward. He moved to Ohio in 1811, and said to have died there in 1846, age 84.2
