Maria McFarlan, daughter of William McFarlan and Abigail Cook, was born at New York, about 1804.1,2 She died 2 November 1856,1 and was buried at the First Presbyterian Church of Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Morris Co., New Jersey, where her stone is inscribed:

Aged 52 years
There's a clime where the rainbow
and star never fade's,
