Asenath "Ezena, Asenith" Stone, daughter of Admire Hurt Stone and Susanna Gilpin, was born at Bedford Co., Virginia, 7 January 1795.1,2 She died at Owensville, Gibson Co., Indiana, 30 April 1857, and was buried at Andrew Smith Cemetery, Owensville, Gibson Co., Indiana.1

Asenath married Andrew Smith, son of James Andrew Smith and Margaret Truax, at Adair Co., Kentucky, 19 November 1816.3

In March 1837 Andrew & Ezena and her brother Mahlon Stone of Gibson Co., Indiana filed a power of attorney for John Wigginton of Campbell Co., Virginia to sue for their share of Admire Stone's estate, he being the father of Ezena and Mahlon. The document was recorded in Bedford Co., Virginia deed records.4
