Hugh de Gournay, seigneur of Gournay-en-Brie, son of Hugh de Gournay, seigneur of Gournay-en-Brie and Milicent de Coucy, died at Rouen, Normandy, France, 25 October 1214, "after donning the garb of a Templar and discarding it by apostasy."1

Hugh married Juliane de Dammartin, daughter of Aubrey II, Count of Dammartin-en-Goële and Mathilde of Clermont, before 1193.2
