Hugh de Gournay, seigneur of Gournay-en-Brie, son of Gerard de Gournay and Edith de Warenne, was born about 1091.1 He died in 1181, said to be "very old."1

Hugh married (1) Beatrice de Vermandois, daughter of Hugh "le Grand," Count of Crépy and Adelaide de Vermandois, Countess of Vermandois;2 he married (2) Milicent de Coucy, daughter of Thomas de Coucy, seigneur of Coucy and Mélisende de Crecy, before 1162.1
