Phebe Jefferies, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born about 1743.1 She died at Green Street Monthly Meeting, Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, 9 March 1795, "in the 52[nd] year of her age."1
Phebe married (1) (…) Bates, whose given name and ancestry are unknown (or not traced here),1 she married (2), as his 2nd wife, Hugh Pedrick, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here) at Philadelphia, 8 April 1791.1
Her maiden name is presumed to be Jeffries based on the Jeffries people who signed as witnesses in the first column of her marriage record. See Baldwin for an explanation of the importance of Quaker witness lists.1,2
