Sir William le Boteler, Knt., 1st Lord Boteler of Wem, son of William le Boteler and Ankaret Ferch Gruffudd ap Madoc, was born 11 June 1274.1 He died before 14 September 1334.1

William married (1) Beatrice (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 1298;2 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Ela Herdeburgh, daughter of Sir Roger Herdeburgh, Knt. and Ida de Oddingseles, before 1310.3
