Sir John de Willoughby, Knt., 3rd Lord Willoughby of Ersby, son of Sir John de Willoughby, Knt., 2nd Lord Willoughby and Joan Roscelyn, was born at Ersby Manor, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England,1 and baptised at the church of St. James, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England, 6 January 1328/29.1 He died 29 March 1372,2 and was buried at Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England.2

John married Cecily Ufford, daughter of Sir Robert de Ufford, Knt., Earl of Suffolk and Margaret de Norwich, before 1349.2
