Bouchard d'Avesnes, Chev., Bailli of Hainault, son of Jacques d'Avesnes, seigneur of Avesnes, Condé, Guise, and Leuze and Adelive of Guise, was born about 1175.1 He died in 1244,1 and was buried at Clairefontaine, France.1

Bouchard married Marguerite of Flanders, daughter of Baudouin VI, Emperor of Constantinople, Count of Flanders & Hainault and Marie of Champagne, before 23 July 1212;1 they were divorced for consanguinity in 1221.1
