Pierre de Braine, Chev., Duke of Brittany, son of Robert II, Count of Dreux and Braine and Yolande de Coucy, was born about 1187.1 He died at sea, probably about 28 May 1250,1 and was buried at Saint Yved-de-Braine Abbey, Laon, France.1

Pierre married (1) Alix de Thouars, daughter of Guy de Thouars, Count of Brittany, Earl of Richmond and Constance of Penthièvre, Duchess of Brittany, 3rd Countess of Richmond, March 1212/13;1 he married (2) Marguerite de Montaigu, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before August 1235;1 he married (3) Joan d'Exoudun, daughter of Raoul d'Exoudun, Chev., seigneur of Issoudun and Alice, Countess d'Eu.1
