Nathaniel Newman, son of Thomas Newman and Mary (…), was born at Stamford, Connecticut, about 1700.1 He died before 2 March 1773, when his will was proved.2

Nathaniel married (1) Sarah Husted, daughter of Samuel Husted and Sarah Knapp, before 1724;1,3 he married (2) Rebecca (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here).4

Nathaniel left a will dated 30 November 1772, and proved 2 March 1772/3, leaving to:

son Isaac two Shillings
son Abraham two Shillings
son Israel two Shillings
daughter Sarah, wife of Enos Reynolds, two Shillings
daughter Lydia, wife of Abrahm Randle, ttwo Shillings
wife Rebecca, executor, most if not all of his moveable estate.
Whatever was left when Rebecca was no longer his widow to go to Israel.4
