William McCormack, son of William McCormack, married his unknown first wife say 1780; he married (2) Judith Wright, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Bedford Co., Virginia, 4 January 1791.1

Nemeth indicated William McCormack was of Rockbridge and later of Franklin Co., Virignia. He served with Morgan's Riflemen during the Revolution.2

It's uncertain if these Franklin Co. deeds pertain to our William McCormack:

On 6 Apr 1795, William Macomack, for 100 [pounds], bought about 220 acres from Armstong Hale. It was described as bounded by "Beards Corner, Earlys line; Demosses old lines, on the south side of Earlys Road near the fork of said Road, on Earlys Road".

His line was mentioned in a deed between John Charter and David Pressel, 26 August 1797.3
