Sir John de Ferrers, Knt., 1st Lord Ferrers of Chartley, son of Sir Robert de Ferrers, Knt., 6th Earl of Derby and Eleanor de Bohun, was born at Cardiff, Wales, 20 June 1271.1 He died at Gascony, France, about 27 August 1312.1

John married Hawise de Muscegros, daughter of Sir Robert de Muscegros, Knt., before 13 September 1300.1
