(…) Dent, whose given name and ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), died before 1607.1
He married, as her 2nd husband, Katherine Thirkeld, daughter of Marmaduke Thirkeld, Esq. and Elizabeth Hylton, sometime after 1590 when her first husband died. Dent had apparently worked for Katherine, but after their marriage he was later indicted, arraigned, convicted, and executed for the murder of (---) Harrison of Flixton.1
