Richard Oxenden, son of Sir Henry Oxenden, Knt. and Elizabeth Brooker, was born at Dene, Kent, England, 30 July 15881 and baptized there a few days later, 4 August 1588.1 He died 20 May 1629,2 and was buried at Denton, Kent, England.1

Richard married Katherine Sprakeling, daughter of Sir Adam Sprakeling, Knt. and Katherine Eastday, 11 January 1606/7.2
