Elizabeth Manfield , daughter of Leonard Manfield and Molly Barker, was born probably shortly before her baptism at Thirkleby, Thirsk, Yorkshire, England, 23 May 1800.1,2 She died at Thormanby, Easingwold, Yorkshire, England, 8 November 1863,2,3 and was buried there, 11 November 1863.2
Elizabeth married William Robinson, son of William Robinson and Isabel Wetherell, at Thirkleby, Thirsk, Yorkshire, England, 29 November 1820.1
Elizabeth left a will 17 October 1862 and a summary was posted to the North Riding land records, 26 Apr 1864:
MEMORIAL of the Probate of the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Robinson of Thormanby in the County of York, widow deceased and which Will bears date the seventeenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty two whereby the Testator appointed her sons William Leonard and George and her son in law George Dowson Trustees and Executors thereof and concerning all the Freehold Estate Messuages lands tenements and hereditaments to which the said Testatrix might be entitled to at her decease with their appurtenances and which she devised unto and to the use of her said Trustees William Leonard Robinson, George Robinson and George Dowson their heirs and assigns Upon the Trusts therein mentioned and which said Willl as to the execution thereof is attested by Edward Reed of Mallon in the said County Stationer and Henry Jackson of the same place Solicitor and this Memorial of the said Will is hereby required by George Dowson of Thirsk in the said County Mercer one of the said Devisees and Executors to be registered as witness his hand and seal this twenty first day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
