Robert Seymour, son of John Seymour and Dyzory Porter, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England, 30 November 1573.1 He died before 23 August 1637, when he was buried at Sawbridgeworth.

Robert married Elizabeth Waller, daughter of John Waller and Elizabeth Bayford, at Sawbridgeworth, 14 November 1603.1

Robert was the executor of his father's will in 1605. His marriage in 1603 and the baptism of one child in 1604/5 are recorded in Sawbridgeworth. But, it is very probable that he soon afterwards removed to some neighboring parish, where he lived several years, while other children were born to him, the records of whose baptisms have not been found or may now be lost. He left no will, nor can any record of administration on his estate be found.1,2

Robert Seymour left a nuncaptive will on 20 August 1637, proved 10 November 1637:
