Joshua Pennington, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born at Virginia, about 1778.1,2 He died 10 October 1868,3 and was buried at Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery, McMinnville, Warren Co., Tennessee.3

Joshua married, as her 2nd husband, Sarah Yarborough, daughter of William Yarborough Sr. and Rachel Shelby, at Van Buren Co., Tennessee, 25 August 1844.4,5

He was the son of Hannah Boone, Daniel Boone's youngest sister.
