John Bruen, Esq., son of John Bruyn and Mary Oteley, was born about 1509, being 23 at his father's I.P.M. in 1532.1 He died 14 May 1587,1 and was buried at Bruen-Stapleford, Tarwin, Cheshire, England.2,3

John married (1) Anne Done, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), say 1557;4,3 he married (2) Dorothy Holford, daughter of Thomas Holford, Esq. and Jane Booth, say 1560.5,4,3

In 1 Mary (about 1553), he had a pardon under the seal of England from Queen Mary.2,1
