Sir William Longespée, Knt., Earl of Salisbury, son of Henry II, King of England and Ida de Toeni, was born say between 1175 and 1180.1 He died at Salisbury Castle, Wiltshire, England, 7 March 1225/26,1 and was buried at Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire, England.1

William married Ela of Salisbury, daughter of William Fitz Patrick, 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Eleanor de Vitré, before September 1197.2,1
