Henry II, King of England
Henry II, King of England, son of Sir Geoffrey Plantagenet, Knt., Count of Anjou & Maine and Maud of England, was born at Le Mans, Maine, France, 5 March 1132/33.1 He died 6 July 1189.1 Both he and his wife were buried at the church of the Abbey of Frontrevrault, Maine-et-Loire, France.1
Henry married, as her 2nd husband, Eleanor of Aquitaine, daughter of William X, Duke of Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chastellerault, at Bordeaux, France, 18 May 1152.1,2
Besides his wife, Eleanor, Henry had a number of mistresses, some known, and at least one unknown:
