Sir Robert de Bréteuil "és Blanchemains," Knt., 2nd Earl of Leicester, son of Sir Robert of Meulan "le Bossu," Knt., 1st Earl of Leicester and Amice de Montfort, was born before 1135.1 He died 31 August 1190, at sea near Brindisi or in Rumania on the way to Jerusalem,1,2 and was buried at Durazzo, Greece.2

Robert married Pernel de Grandmesnil, daughter of William de Grandmesnil, between 1155 and 1159.3,4
