Alfonso II, King of Aragon, son of Ramón IV Berenguer, Marquis of Barcelona and Petronilla of Aragon, was born 4 April 1152.1,2 He died at Perpignan, Spain, 25 April 1196,1,2 and was buried at the Monastery of Nuestra Señora, Poblet, Spain.

Alfonso married Sancha of Castile, daughter of Alfonso VII, King of Castilla and Richilde of Poland, in 1175.1,2,3
