Saint Louis IX, King of France, son of Louis VIII "le Lion," King of France and Blanche of Castile, was born at Chateau de Poissy, France, 25 April 1214.1 He died at Tunis, 25 August 1270.1 Both he and his wife were buried at Abbey of Saint-Denis, Melun, France.1

Louis married Marguerite of Provence, daughter of Ramón V Berenguer and Beatrix of Savoy, at Sens, France, 27 May 1234.1
