Louis VIII "le Lion," King of France, son of Philippe II "Auguste," King of France and Isabella of Hainault, was born at Paris, France, 11 September 1187.1 He died at Montpensier, Auvergne, France, 8 November 1226,1 and was buried at the Abbey of Saint-Denis, Melun, France.1
