Harriet Browne, daughter of Seth Ingersoll Browne and Sarah Goding, was born at the Punch Bowl Tavern, Roxbury, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, 19 March 1795.1,2,3,4,5 She died at Malden, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 22 January 1881.1,6

Harriet married William Hanson, son of John Hanson and Sally Getchel, at Milton, Strafford Co., New Hampshire, 2 July 1822.7,1

On the day her father died, Harriet was sent to get the doctor. The March streets were slippery, and she had to climb one of Charlestown's steep hills on her hands and knees to reach the doctor's house. She did not return in time to see her father alive again.8
